These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, communications, estimates, quotes, scheduling, and services provided by Brick Experts, Inc. (“Brick Experts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By requesting an estimate, scheduling service, approving a quote, authorizing work, communicating with us, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. Project-specific quotes, proposals, contracts, change orders, invoices, or warranty documents may contain additional terms. If a project-specific written agreement conflicts with these Terms, the project-specific written agreement will control for that project.
1. Services
Brick Experts provides residential and commercial masonry services, including masonry repair, restoration, construction, and related brick, stone, concrete, mortar, chimney, wall, hardscape, and exterior masonry work.
The specific services to be performed for a customer will be described in the applicable estimate, quote, proposal, work order, contract, or other written agreement.
Submitting a request for service or requesting an estimate does not obligate Brick Experts to perform any work.
2. Estimates, Quotes, and Scope of Work
Estimates and quotes are based on the information and conditions reasonably available to Brick Experts when the estimate or quote is prepared.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, an estimate or quote covers only the work specifically described in that document.
Conditions that are concealed, inaccessible, unknown, or not reasonably observable before work begins may require additional labor, materials, equipment, or services and may result in additional charges.
Examples may include hidden deterioration, structural movement, water damage, previously concealed repairs, inadequate underlying construction, unexpected demolition conditions, or other conditions discovered after work begins.
Brick Experts will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to the scope or price before performing significant additional work.
3. Changes and Additional Work
Customer-requested changes or work outside the original scope may require a revised quote, additional authorization, or change order.
Additional work may result in additional charges and may change the expected project schedule or completion date.
Verbal discussions do not modify an approved written scope unless Brick Experts agrees to the modification.
4. Scheduling and Project Timing
Scheduled dates, arrival times, project durations, and completion dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Masonry work may be affected by weather, temperature, moisture, site conditions, material availability, permitting, inspections, supplier delays, prior-project delays, equipment issues, or other circumstances outside Brick Experts’ reasonable control.
Brick Experts may reschedule or temporarily suspend work when reasonably necessary for safety, workmanship, weather conditions, material requirements, or circumstances outside our control.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant scheduling changes to the customer.
5. Property Access and Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing Brick Experts and its employees, contractors, equipment, and vehicles with safe and reasonable access to the work area.
Before work begins, customers should remove or secure vehicles, furniture, decorations, landscaping items, pets, or other property that could interfere with the work when reasonably possible.
Customers are responsible for informing Brick Experts about known hazards, hidden utilities, irrigation systems, private wiring, underground features, access limitations, property restrictions, or other unusual conditions that may affect the work.
Unless specifically included in the project agreement, the customer is responsible for obtaining any required homeowner association or similar private-property approvals.
Government permits and inspections will be handled as specified in the applicable project agreement.
6. Existing and Concealed Conditions
Brick Experts is not responsible for defects, deterioration, damage, structural movement, water intrusion, improper prior workmanship, or other conditions that existed before our work began or that are outside the scope of the services we agreed to perform.
Opening, removing, repairing, or working around existing masonry may reveal concealed conditions that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand.
Brick Experts will inform the customer when significant concealed conditions are discovered and may recommend additional work where appropriate.
7. Masonry and Material Variations
Brick, stone, mortar, concrete, and other masonry materials can naturally vary in color, texture, size, shape, finish, weathering, and appearance.
When repairing or extending existing masonry, Brick Experts will make reasonable efforts to achieve an appropriate match. However, an exact match between new and existing brick, stone, mortar, concrete, or other materials cannot always be guaranteed.
Existing materials may have changed in appearance because of age, weather exposure, manufacturing differences, discontinued products, staining, repairs, or other factors.
Material availability may also change after a quote is prepared. If a specified material becomes unavailable, Brick Experts may discuss reasonable alternatives with the customer.
8. Payment
Pricing, deposits, progress payments, final payments, and payment due dates will be stated in the applicable quote, proposal, contract, invoice, or other project documentation.
Customers agree to pay amounts due according to those stated payment terms.
Approval of a quote or proposal may constitute authorization for Brick Experts to order materials, reserve labor, schedule work, or incur other project-related costs.
Special-order or custom materials may be non-returnable or subject to supplier restocking charges.
Any applicable late fees, collection costs, financing terms, or other payment-related charges will be governed by the applicable project agreement, invoice, or applicable law.
9. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should contact Brick Experts as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment or project.
Any cancellation charges, non-refundable deposits, special-order material costs, restocking fees, or other cancellation-related expenses will apply only when disclosed in the applicable quote, proposal, agreement, or other project documentation or when otherwise permitted by law.
10. Warranty
Brick Experts offers warranty protection on qualifying workmanship as described in its applicable proposals, contracts, invoices, or warranty documentation.
Brick Experts currently offers a three-year warranty on qualifying work. The exact coverage, duration, limitations, exclusions, and warranty procedures applicable to a particular project are governed by the written warranty terms provided for that project.
Manufacturer warranties on products or materials, when applicable, are provided by the applicable manufacturer and are subject to that manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
Warranty coverage does not extend to conditions excluded by the applicable warranty documents, including where applicable damage or failure caused by structural or foundation movement, abuse, alteration by others, lack of maintenance, unrelated water intrusion, extreme events, or conditions outside the workmanship performed by Brick Experts.
11. Photos and Project Documentation
Brick Experts may photograph or otherwise document a property or work area when reasonably necessary for estimating, project planning, progress documentation, quality control, warranty administration, customer communication, or recordkeeping.
Use of identifiable customer or property photographs for advertising or promotional purposes may be subject to separate permission or agreement where appropriate.
