At Oldcastle’s Denton plant, our project centered on heavy-duty CMU construction for an active block and cement manufacturing facility.
The work shown here features both structural and architectural CMU, combining load-bearing performance and a clean, uniform finished appearance.
CMU-Block Installation
This was not just decorative masonry. These walls were built as part of the building’s structural system, designed to carry and support steel components installed above. The masonry scope extended across multiple areas of the plant, including the batch plant building shown here, additional restroom structures, the paver building, and the corporate office for the facility.
The block selected for the visible exterior has a textured finish that’s sturdy enough for an industrial site but still a clean, professional look.
Overall, this project reflects a more technical side of commercial masonry, where accuracy, strength, and coordination with the larger building system are critical. It is a solid example of our CMU construction capabilities, both for the finished surface and the structural backbone of the building.
