Brick Experts was tasked with finishing the exterior of the Kiddie Academy preschool in Colleyville, Texas with exterior brick and thin stone veneer for a clean look suited to a modern childcare facility.

The scope of our work included installing the exterior brick (in two different colors), along with the full prep system and installation of the sections clad in stone veneer.
That assembly included two layers of weather-resistant barrier, metal lath, a base coat, and a scratch coat before the manufactured stone was set in mortar.
In addition to the visible finish materials, this project also included important waterproofing details behind the wall system. Through-wall flashing was installed at window sills, window headers, and around the base of the building to help direct any incidental moisture back out of the wall.
Small weep openings were also incorporated so trapped water can drain properly instead of collecting behind the masonry. The result is an exterior that balances appearance and performance, with durable masonry finishes and the drainage details needed for long-term protection.
