Brick Experts completed this large-format retail building for Harbor Freight. The exterior was built with CMU block, using a split-face block at the lower portions of the walls to add texture, and smooth block above for a cleaner finish.
In the completed building, the smooth CMU was painted in contrasting tones, to break up the scale of the walls and give the facade a modern retail appearance.
CMU-Block & EIFS Installation
At the main entrance, the project features a prominent EIFS accent wall in Harbor Freight’s signature red. EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish System) creates the look of stucco while adding insulation value through a layered foam-backed system.
Here it was applied over a framed wall to create a visual accent that reinforces the store’s branding and draws attention to the entry from a distance.
Together, the textured base, smooth painted block, and bold red entrance treatment give the building a practical, but polished, commercial look. The finished design fits the Harbor Freight brand well, combining toughness, visibility, and clean presentation in a structure designed for scale and everyday use.
